What is ESSAC?

The ESTEC Swimming and Sub-Aqua Club (ESSAC) is an ESTEC Sports, Social, Cultural Committee club based at the ESA ESTEC site in the Netherlands. We offer a range of watersports related opportunities, including swimming, snorkelling, and diving. Our diving qualifications and certification are done via BSAC.

What is BSAC?

The British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) is the national governing body for scuba diving and snorkelling in the UK. It has a network of branches and centres in UK and overseas that all honor the BSAC core values of excellence in training, safety and growing the sport.

How much does diving cost?

There are ESSAC and BSAC membership fees, plus training material costs and equipment fees for new or less experienced divers. You will need to purchase some of your own personal equipment, but core components (BCD, weights, regulators, fins, cylinders, etc.) are provided by the club during training.

Completing BSAC dive training courses with our highly qualified trainers takes dedication and a bit of time but the outcome is highly rewarding, providing you with exciting new skills and expertise that enable you to explore underwater havens around the world.
